The face is great, but it seems to me the hat is a bit too small. The rest of the outfit is OK and I especially like the boots.

To be honest, the outfit was exactly as I described it and nothing like how I imagined it. But it does look good on him, and to be fair this outfit works (in other words, I'm adding it to the character's wardrobe). And the boots are steel toe capped. He doesn't like his toes getting smashed. Or hurting his toes because he kicked someone hard. Heheheh.

The hat looks small for a cowboy hat, but about the right size for a fedora.

whenever i think 'fedora' i always think the carmen sandiego hat with the two foot brim.

this is more like 'inspector' or some other discreet section of the criminal justice system

This is a great picture!What I would suggest about it is that  the hat could be a bit wider. This could follow a wonderful emotional and dramatic detective story.The story of the lonesome detective...for instance :)

Lonesome, yes. Detective, not so much. As for what he is... well... I don't know if I should give away to much information on Lew there. Or the story he's attached to. Not yet, anyway...

I really like the first panel. It's easy to show someone's emotions when they're being dramatic, but a casual pose and expression are much harder to pull off. And I like how Zig is in the exact. Same. Pose. for the first and last panel.

Also: Got a chuckle at the Asleep panel.

Great job on the colored one. I love the blade. The sketch is nice too, though It seems to me that there are a lot of disproportions in it.  The background, on the other hand, is killer!
