I think she drove from her home to her mom's and then the "Wondertwins"  flew to Cali.  The drive to Cali from the Eastern Seaboard sucks.  I did it once and I plan to never do it again.

Besides, on the off-chance that somebody's attacked by the Amber-Vampire/Monster, just start praising her comic for it's captivating plot, memorable + lovable characters, well-drawn artwork, and-*Unholy shriek of anguish fills the air.* Oops... Erm, nevermind...
