VSMIT is banned for not thinking ahead and having a few copy bodies in stasis just in case revival is necessary.

Jairus is banned because Ran's technology is set up so that if he dies, his mind travels back to Dr. Cossack's lab and he is rebuilt.  His parts are so cheap, it's less expensive to rebuild him with cheap parts than it is to repair him if he had expensive parts.  And he's Communist.  So you see the thinking there...

First: you didn't actually ban me.

Second: Ran breaks at the drop of a hat.  There was a time when someone tapped his finger and he exploded.  And a single high quality replacement part for Ran would cost more than rebuilding him with the cheap stuff.

Well, then you are banned for using such poor construction methods and designs that do not allow for a robust, viable design. With a little redesign work to the basic chassis and structural components, you should be able to use high-quality parts without two much risk of a bad investment.
