I just love how the villagers won't care that they brutally slaughtered a bunch of bandits but would care that they're 'Cubi. I've also thought of a number of ways they could get the survivor to not talk, most of them involving an empty threat towards his soul.

Yes.  I deliberately went for a very medieval sense of justice in this comic.

I wonder if that is the same village they live in now?

Hmmmmmm...I wonder if communities have as many advancements when their as close minded as that?

Must be real interesting to get services that are only provided outside there community and largely by Creatures.
I perfer my spam cooked on a skillet.

If it is, they probably left it and came back a few hundred years later when everyone who knew them is now dead.
