Conbadge: Damn, those are some very fine hands. The eyes seem super-wide-open... I don't know if that's intentional or not, or just part of your style. The rest of the face and figure has some very nice, subtle, expression to it tho.

Most of your work doesn't have a lot of contrast... that probably has to do with the media, but I figured I'd mention it.

...Those tunes are going on my iPod, by the way.
This is my pencil. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My pencil is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life...

Oh yeah. I was basically just doing this as a way to see how fast I could get a full color thing done, so when I have to do it for, say, a con, I could crank them out relatively quickly. I plan to at LEAST get some white gel pens for highlight scribbles. I could always do some of that high contrast inking, though. I'd shade with the markers, but I don't have enough colors for that :c

Also, if you like that music, I suggest you check out Baal Tinne - they don't have anything on youtube, but check our their myspace page. Now THAT is some fine music.

Little picture taken on my phone for fun - my new tinwhistle is in that shot!
Speaking of music, here's another upload of my band:

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4871175/

A few things about this before you click the link:
1.) It was recorded on my $20 tape recorder during practice, and in the first ten seconds you can hear me kick it across the floor by accident.
2.) It's being taken down in a few days 'cause it's just a scrap - you can hear people singing along in it, because we haven't played that set in YEARS and we were all playing by memory

That being said, enjoy! (for the record, I'm one of the fiddles in that - the one you can HEAR)

Amazing pencilwork- such clear lines! And the characters look like they can tell their whole story just by the pose! Awesome!  :mowdizzy

Fursona bookmarks, thinking of selling these alongside conbadges. What do you guys think?

If you want a bookmark or a conbadge of some sort, just shoot me a PM here or on FA. I'll keep about five slots open.

Conbadges:
Full Body: $20
Torso shot: $15
Head shot: $10
Bookmarks: $15

Prices include shipping and mailing and all that to the US, but don't include lamination since that kaboodle is really expensive. Sorry.

I only thought Fandas were floofy and cute. Now I realize, they are very pointy. And terrifying.

Nyil

Fandas aren't terrifying, they're full of hugs and adorable.

Speaking of adorable, though,

That is some very nice hair.
The brown on the left cheek doesn't quite seem to have the dimension that the rest of the cheek has. It looks like it's pressed down (about an inch) compared to the white around it.

I honestly didn't realize I was dooming this mage to a life of Justin Beiber haircuts until after I inked and colored it. Oops.

Thank you! I'll keep that in mind the next time I do digital painting!

Is that you in a staring contest against a plushie? I'm sorry to say the odds are not in your favor.

And I love the last two. The imaginary throne and the expression on the girl's face. Nice dress too, though I can't help but wonder how it stays in place.

My goal is to eventually get so cute that I'll just melt peoples faces off with the puppy dog eyes. I'll get there one day.

Ever since I first met Mits, I've always pictured him shopping for fine wine at an expensive, classy liquor store wearing nothing but a utility kilt.

Nothing more.

I find your lingering bluelines interesting, but mostly they seem to give the impression of being unfinished. In an earlier "Sound of Music" posting, it sort of gave the impression of tears.
I like the great range and contrast within your works.  Your vent art freaks me out :|

The kilt looks really off centre, compared to his belt buckle and belly button. His pose seems really stiff, probably because of the limp left arm (his left), and the right shoulder looking like it's pulled up and back.

The shading on the deltoid/latissimus dorsi area looks really convincing. There's a distinct impression of shape and volume. I love the highlight on the bottle, and the vitality in the eyes.

that might be the foreshortening throwing you off, also don't forget that since kilts technically don't have any proper means of anchoring in the traverse, that they are liable to rotate slightly, it also depends largely on the article of clothing, which might have the fasteners/buttons off-centre.

Dragons, it's what's for dinner... with gravy and potatoes, YUM!
Sparta? no, you should've taken that right at albuquerque..
