Sorry I broke into song soon as the page loaded. I guess Envy really was the clan affinity to go sibling nuking. I can really picture a film noir movie vibe from her too, probably the colouring coupling with my brain jumping on detectives.

I like the fact that the clan symbol kinda goes along with their affinity, it's like one circle is fully formed and the other look like pac-man and it's pissed enough to eat it!  For revenge of course, since he couldn't be a full circle either.........

However, I think it's kinda unfair that the clan can only mate with other cubi. I mean what if the clan they mate with is stronger and the result is more of theirs spouse's clan. So what do they do, pick and find the weaker clans in order to gain more clan members? I guess that's why the twin thing is a bonus, since it compensates that fact........

Also, I was looking back through and when Jyrras used the patch to go cubi, with the blue and black he kinda matches the Zezzuva clan!

Since Zezzuva is still alive, her clan is stronger than most. They can probably mate with any random (outside) cubi they want and still have a good chance of spawning more Zezzuva clan cubi.

I've also noticed they seem to alternate between bat-wing and bird-wing 'Cubi.

Also, interesting how the Emo/Goth 'Cubi clan's affinity isn't sadness or depression... it's Envy.  "Everyone's more popular than me, I'll show them.. I'll show them all!" 

Their status as Mind-Readers is particularly disturbing, given what we know about Mind-Reading in the DMFA-verse.

I would think that that may be used to play politics in the clan's.

After all if you have family in another clan wouldn't you try to help them?

If anything, I could see this as a highly political driven clan in the acquisition of power.

An interesting note on the info, all members marry outside of the clan's boundaries-seems to tie in with the "clan of power" aspect by causing submission of another clan's member to become one of yours.

On a separate note, this clan has a passion for gaining power, political or otherwise.  Think royal court or political office. That's the natural environment for beings and creatures that can supply them the envy they need for sustenance.  Of course, the best way to attract those who are envious is by being in power yourself, or forging connections to those in power through marriage and children.
