I've always thought that the difference between a moth and a butterfly was the rate at which they beat their wings, moths being the ones that beat their wings faster; is that a good rule of thumb?

Probably, but I doubt anyone knows what your previous questions were without looking at them.
That's up to you. If you want to show other forumites your art, go ahead. If you'd rather keep it to yourself, then don't.

I guess it's because you don't really want to. It can be hard to tell when it's time to give up, but you learn that with experience. Here, have some of that experience now.
