Indeed it was, as I was thinking about that particular point.

I actually thought that you were going to use the explanation that since angels are flight capable creatures, like birds they would actually have a greater susceptibility to gas attacks, much in the same way as a canary succumbs to natural gas far quicker than a human of proportional size would.  Of course, then I realized I was projecting my own thoughts of angels in one of my abandoned fictional universes to the comic, and realized your punchline wasn't just funnier, but more consistent.

Are you sure about this one. From everything I've read, affect is a verb, effect is an adjective. Even in past tense, things have an effect, as in "he wouldn't have been effected"...

Yes, I'm sure. Affect is a verb. Effect is a noun (also a verb, but with a different meaning). Verbs have a past tense. Nouns do not.

For further details: affected (there's a link to the verb 'affect'). Also, something which affects something else causes an effect.

Effected has a completely different meaning, and an interesting explanation.

For what it's worth, I took the 'lo' as Darkmoon intended it in BT #160 . Which raises the point as to why I decided not to go behind Darkmoon and attempt correcting spelling or grammar. I'm not that good at it, I hate to be second guessing the author's intent, and more importantly, my observation has been that Gabi, Destina Faroda, and Llearch are far more capable and I feel like a fifth wheel.
