Dear IF, i'm going to start off with some interesting questions and i'd like see what you thing

Are people born naturally good, and then learn evil later in life, or are they born evil, and learn good?

On a scale of 1 to eating babies, how hungry are you while answering these questions?

Do you think i am a good or evil person?

Which way of thinking do you prefer "might is right" or "might for right"?

and finally, is it actually illegal if you don't get caught?

I support the demon race (usually with my hands)!   Also... LOOK A DISTRACTION! -->

Dear visibly challenged friend:

Do you mind me asking questions similar to the ones I asked last round?

Respond to any 5 of the following:

    * What are your thoughts and feelings about the technological singularity?
    * How would you improve the current economic model?
    * Are you comfortable with America's position as the "International police" in international politics, given its record?
    * How do you construct, using only a compass and a straightedge, a circle which passes though an arbitrary point and is tangent to two arbitrary lines?
    * What do you consider properties a good English work require?
    * Do you think religion has a large survival value in modern society, and why?
    * Some people say music is the nourishment of the soul. Do you agree, and why or why not?
    * Are you appalled by the lack of geographical knowledge most people possess? How come?
    * Do you find modern-day movies worth the investment and why?
    * Write a short narrative describing the journey of myself finding you, the Invisible Friend.

Dear Invisible Friend...

I've just returned from vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico. Where was the last place you went on vacation to, and when did you go?
Are we going to have fun this round?
My brain's a little slow right now, because somewhere between two days ago and yesterday I got sick. Why don't we leave it at two... oh wait, one more!
The weather here is cold and foggy, currently. What's the weather currently like where you are?

Goblins or Kobolds?

Are you willing to do ethically questionable things if the rewards are good enough?

Do you keep up with current events? Politics?

Do you think games are a form of art?

Just out of curiosity, how much time do you spend on these forums each week?

Neither.
Fudgsicles.
I don't really believe in good or evil.
I don't really prefer either, but if I had to choose I'd go with might is right.

Guess I'll kick this one off. :)

Dear Invisible Friend,

1. Psyched for the new round?
2. Who's your favorite DMFA character?
3. What's the weather like for you right now?  It's snowing here right now.
4. What kind of games do you like?  RPGs?  Sports?  FPS?
Quote from: Mao Laoren's Invisible Friend1. Psyched for the new round?

I'd like to think I don't get overexcited like that.

2. Who's your favorite DMFA character?

Abel Dimitri Rewanz

3. What's the weather like for you right now?  It's snowing here right now.

It's quite snowy up here, and cold. Still, I don't really mind it too much, I guess I've gotten used to it.

4. What kind of games do you like?  RPGs?  Sports?  FPS?

Well, I like RPGs. I don't really have a taste for FPS games unless I'm playing with friends... or I'm playing Painkiller where it's just so awesome to have a gun that shoots shurikens and lightning.

Dear Invisible Friend,

What's your favorite animal? What kind of music do you like? Do you have any artistic talents like drawing, painting, writing or producing music?

If you were given the choice to do a little bit of good for everyone, or a whole lot of good only for yourself, what would you choose? The context is a bit irrelevant, it could be anything that you would consider good for yourself that others would also likely enjoy as well.

Lisky

Dear invisible friend

would you prefer to be miserable at your job but make a lot of money, or have an amazing job, but be relatively poor?

do you feel i have a slightly twisted sense of humor?

have you done anything recently that seemed like a good idea at the time, but looking back on it, regret?

are you, or have you ever been a college student?
if so, what was the stupidest thing you can remember doing in a single day?
if not, what was the stupidest thing you've done in the past year that your willing to share over the internet?

Do you believe ignorance is bliss?

Do you lie often?

Have you ever posted a long, angry rant on an internet forum?

Do you use wikipedia often? Do you think that the information contained within is reliable?

Would you consider yourself happy?

I have a good feeling about this round.  Do you?
If I asked you if you were a?
How often do you?

Quote from: Mao Laoren's Invisible FriendFavorite animal? I don't really have one I guess... I don't keep pets, and I'm not really into zoos.
Music? I'm not an active listener... I don't mind music but I don't really have any favorites.
Artistic talents: Well, for drawing and painting, I stopped doing that a few years ago. I don't really think I can draw or paint with any decent amount of skill nowadays. I'm not a great writer by any means, well, I can write in a coherent fashion but I don't think I'll ever be able to create decent poetry, or a story, or a novel, and I'm not a great essay writer either. I don't think I've ever had a talent for making music.

In such scenarios, context *does* matter, in fact, context is everything. I mean, if I was homeless and then won a million dollars, I would probably keep it rather than put it into charities. On the other hand, if I were as rich as Bill Gates, I would probably look into philanthropy

Quote from: Darkdragon's Invisible FriendDear darkdragon,
Do you mind me asking questions similar to the ones I asked last round?
Nah.  VSMIT seemed to have a lot of fun with those.

How would you improve the current economic model?
The best thing to do would be to adopt some aspects of socialism, namely the idea of government ownership, albeit partial ownership.

Are you comfortable with America's position as the "International police" in international politics, given its record?
No, I think there are other countries that would do better, but it should change, now that a new administration is to be in place.

Do you think religion has a large survival value in modern society, and why?
I don't think I understand the idea of "survival value."  If you mean the reason why religion has survived as long as it has, I think it's because of the fact that it's just human nature to want something to believe in.

Some people say music is the nourishment of the soul. Do you agree, and why or why not?
I both agree and disagree, because different people will have different ways of nourishing their own souls.

Are you appalled by the lack of geographical knowledge most people possess? How come?
Sometimes, because I find it extremely aggravating that some citizens of the US don't know where all of the states are, or don't care to learn, or don't know where major countries are.

Dear invisible friend...

I take it from your responses that you like music... would this be a correct assessment?

What do you tend to do on your free time?

Would you consider yourself "street smart"?

Do you watch movies often? What kinds of movies do you like if so?

Just out of curiosity, what would you do if you were transported into your favorite fantasy realm?

Lisky

Dear invisible friend

Do you prefer dogs or cats?

Do you have any pets?
if so, do your pets react to certain words and if they do, what words do they react most to?

Would you rather die a hero, or live to see yourself turned into a villain?

Would you kill a small child (say a 5 years old) if it would grant you eternal youth? (say frozen at age 24, if your beyond 24, you'll biologically regress to 24, then freeze there)

Do you want a cookie, a medal or a small parade?

Please think though the following question carefully, and reply as if it were a writing prompt in a creative writing course. The generally allocated time for the question is five minutes, although feel free to spend more time on it. You will, of course, not be graded on what you write.

How would you answer this question?

Quote from: Mao Laoren's Invisible FriendYellow
I'd like to consider myself reasonable about it. If I can coherently understand what someone is typing, I won't have issues with it. I don't really get upset about the occasional typo or a grammatical error here and there. On the other hand, if what I am reading has grammar and spelling is so bad that I have to spend an excruciating amount of effort trying to figure out what is in front of my eyes, then I get upset about it. I myself try to avoid spelling and grammar mistakes, but I'm not perfect and I don't expect anyone else to be either.
I don't lose my composure easily, I'm not sure if I have any.
No. I don't really like MMOs I have to pay for, and besides, from what I understand, it's in dire need of 'fumigation'.

Quote from: VSMIT's Invisible FriendDear Invisible Friend,
How did you like my unfinished questions?
> In my humble opinion, the questions make you appear.
Did they make you think about what I could have meant?
> Considering both unfinished questions are missing the object of the sentence, it is impossible to discern with any accuracy, especially without context the object of the sentence given the subject and the verb. Considering both the verbs "to be" and "often" both require a non i-l predicate, unlike verbs like "run", the "questions" are also fragments, a large grammatical error. For these reasons, I was rather inconvenienced by the style of question.
Should I not use unfinished questions anymore?
> It would be best as no doubt the ever so slightly Grammar Nazi-like side I have from years of editing papers would be irritated.

are you and APF in disguise?
have you ever wondered why you play this game?
i like cherry pie but apples are easier to bake. do you bake?
car a bird be a word and can bee be a verb?
Quote from: e_voyager's Invisible FriendDear visible friend...

No. ;)
Well, I've had a few run-ins with Boxy, but nothing that warranted more than a friendly reminder.
This one.
No.
If words have no meaning, then they have no value. Therefore, the purpose of meaning is to give words a definition.
Shoot first.
APF? What is that?
No. Why?
Mmmm, cherry pie. And no, I do not. Unless you count mixes. Which I don't.
A bird can be a word, but bee cannot be a verb. Unless it becomes one. To bee, or not to bee. Does that mean one would buzz around, seemingly without aim but in fact having a plan and a goal in mind?

Dear Invisible Friend,

1) Do you happen to go to school right now?  If not, when was the last time you went and for what?
2) What's better to you:  Being right, or having fun?
3) What are some of your pass-times?
4) What web comics do you read?

Dear IF

Do you enjoy reading, if so, who's your favorite author(s)
Given my more morbid questions so far... candy hearts, or candy corn?
Would you rather have basic magical powers, or a lightsaber?
What's your favorite video game?
If you could choose a religion to be right about "heaven" which version would you enjoy the most (IE Valhalla is my personal favorite feasting, drinking, whoring, and fighting, for the rest of eternity)

I've got a lot of authors I like to read.  Too many to list really.

I fail to see any of these as even close to morbid, but neither.  One tastes like chalk the other has no flavor.

Hmm.  both are pretty tempting, but the thing about magic is that it's only limited by your imagination whereas the lightsaber is very limited in comparrison.  So I guess magic.

That would depend on the year.  Every year I find a new one that just blows me away.  There are series that I love though.  I definitely love the Final Fantasy series and You can't go wrong with the Megaman series either.

This is a question that I won't answer for numerous reasons.

I don't think that the two are mutually exclusive in most cases.

Computers, chess, computers, reading, computers, talking with friends, computers....
I'm a really sad person, I know.

DMFA and Castlevania.

Interesting... lets go try some more questions of preference

Greater Good or Personal Entertainment?
Star Wars or Star Trek?
Sam Fisher or Solid Snake?
Tea and Cake or Death?
Werewolf or Vampire?
Knife or Gun?
Corvette ZR1 or Hummer H1?
Coach or 1st Class?
Plane, Train, or automobile?

and finally, do you think i'll be able to tell anything about you based on how you answer these?

I support the demon race (usually with my hands)!   Also... LOOK A DISTRACTION! -->

Dear invisible friend:

How would you handle situations where you have a lot of work due in a short amount of time and you don't think you can make the deadline?

You said you like blowing up polygons that look like missile bases... does this mean you like old games?

How do you handle people who constantly antagonize you and won't stop?

Are you often afraid that those who have power over you will abuse it?

Just out of pure randomness, how often do you eat 'junk food'?

Darkdragon

Dear invisible friend,

What vice in people do you dislike the most and why?
Do you consider it "right" (whatever your definition of that is - please define if it differs from common conceptions) for poverty-stricken people to cut down endangered rain forest to help them meet their ends financially?
Do you think we will find extraterrestrials? Why or why not?
Do you find cryptozoology (the study of creatures whose existence has not been scientifically established) a fascinating "study"?
Define insanity. According to your definition, on a scale of 1 to 10, how insane do you consider yourself? Me?
Have you started on your picture yet?

VSMIT

Dear Invisible Friend,
From the looks of it, you just took a MIDI file, opened it up in Finale Notepad and arranged it that way.  Can tell because of this:

And I've heard it before, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.

What is your chosen profession?
Do you have any other questions you would like me to ask?
