By using the "remove" or "delete" button (the label changes depending on which theme you're using).

... What do you mean, you don't have access to it? Surely that's a mistake? We should be able to trust the users to not delete things at random and hide it when they egregiously screw up, shouldn't we?

We had problems, in the past of people deleting their posts after saying something inflammatory, and then acting as if nothing happened. In our opinion, if you're going to post something you, later, won't be proud of, don't post it at all.

Not everyone listens to this common sense idea though, so we make sure every topic sticks around by not letting anyone remove them with administrative help.
