If I recall correctly from my history lessons, Hitler founded the Nazi party. The "socialist" part was in the name because socialists had been winning all the recent elections, so they wanted to make themselves look like a more radical alternative while still sounding appealing to most voters. Looks like it worked.

And I assume it was a joke, but if the FBI does track down anyone who wants to learn about the world's history, then your country's even scarier than I thought.

See, that's the thing. Five years ago I would have laughed of the thought of the FBI tracking what people search for. Now, though, while I doubt they care what I search for, I also don't want to push it.
