Actually, Amen is one of the many spelling for that god. Apparently, Amun is the one Wikipedia uses, but all are accepted (probably because it's an Anglicized version of the word).

English tends to have a "one true spelling" concept; many of the islamic-area languages don't.

I'm not really sure _why_ this is, yet. I'm of the opinion that it's because they have a long history of low education and verbal traditions, and a much shorter recent "educated" history, compared to, say, the UK. But that's just a theory, and may well be totally incorrect.

In any case, the pronounciation of ancient Egyptian is lost to history, so I guess we will never know what the original name was. :\

Also, I was always taught in school to spell it Amen Ra... so apparently everyone is wrong.

And I like Thereshiri too, but I somehow don't see her as one of Dracula's brides. XD
