This gives more credance to the possibility that Albanion was pretending to be Nutmeg pretending to be Albanion as part of the complex dance that Mab is calling the numbers of.

Mab wants Jyrras to become cursed.
Mab talks Albanion in to playing the villen of the piece.
Mab contrives to take everyone on an adventure where they are secluded when Albanion makes his debut.
Mab waits for Albanion to be in position to be 'revealed' as the very huggy Nurmeg by way of stabbing him through the back and chest so that, when 'Nutmeg' offers a hug to him, he flees.
The pieces now being in place for the curse, Mab et all travel to the fae realm and leaves Jyrras alone with Albanion so he can place the curse.

That's scary.  I hadn't thought about the plan being that deep, but it actually answers several questions.  For example, I'd always figured Nutmeg had just told Albanion about what happened... but if Albanion was impersonating Nutmeg (impersonating Albanion ), he would've known that Jyrras made her cry.  His connection with Mab also explains how he might've known about Jyrras' lab, since Mab's worked there before (helping with the patches, if nothing else.  XD)

2 possibilities immediately comes to mind: Mows, and Deebs. There's also the other aspects, but if Albanion knows, there's no reason why Mab shouldn't know too, since they're in cahoots.

Not only that, but Mab is a Fae and therefore extremely powerful.  If that doesn't include some form of empathy and/or mindreading, I'd be kind of surprised.

Machiavelli:  It is better to be feared than loved  (Perhaps the story that Albanion destroyed an entire race over who invented the yo-yo was planted by Albanion so that people would be less likely to cross him.  Since Albanion is feared, people are less likely to hurt Jyrras for fear of depriving Albanion of his revenge.)

As a possibility for earlier phases:

The breeding of Jyrras.  The circumstances behind the meeting of Jyrras's parents does seem like something that could have been arranged.  Also, as I mentioned before, there does seem to be a slight resemblance to Akaen, especially around the ears.

The funding of Jyrras's research.  After all, Akaen has invested in a number of technologies that beings have been making as stated in the Demonology 101 page.

As a possibility for the next phase:

Giving Jyrras some emotional maturity and understanding.
