I don't get the whole edit thing. If you edit it, it's no longer a quote from me. I kinda disagree with it because people who don't actually know what I posted are going to go "That ASSHOLE" or something and overreact about my internet-words, real or not.

I'm not sure that people would think you an asshole for calling someone dense.  More likely, Bob the Angry Flower will call you an asshole for misusing pronouns.

Not that you need to call people names to act like an asshole, as a recent search of Jim Halisstrad's posting on pants reminded me.  (for the record, Jim wasn't the asshole)
