Well, as we can see, Matilda is running as far away as she can from her old home and sooner or later, as we saw in the epilogue, Matilda will eventually have an emotional breakdown and be discovered by the explorers.

So, what does everyone have in mind for the next update?

llearch n'n'daCorna

Maybe an emotional breakdown. Maybe just a physical one. You keep running long enough, you will eventually fall down and sleep.

And you still don't have to think. Yet.

When you wake up, of course, is another story. Hrm. I'm still wondering about what happens next.

I wonder... Could her sister possibly be following her?

I'm kind of half expecting her to run herself down like llearch said, and possibly be starving and/or sick when the adventurers find her.  After all she's going to be exposed to a lot of new bacteria and what have you while under-going high levels of emotional and physical stress.

Somehow I doubt it'll be that simple though.

I'm expecting the same.

Though the bacteria one has me wondering. Considering the environment her people live in, can bacteria survive that kind of environment that the inside of her body would make.

There are species of microorganisms that are made to survive the harshest environments.  In a world like this, where it was suggested that there's a disease directed at magic-users (or 'Cubi anyway) I wouldn't count any pathogens out of those criteria.

Anyway, I can't help but be impressed at the amount of emotion that these comics show.  Reading her words, it's easy to feel as if you're feeling what she does, and the exhaustion of running.  Most awesome. =)

She's probably never had to eat before and by extension, pass solid waste, that's not going to be a fun learning experience. I'm guessing she at least needed to drink water, so it won't be totally alien.

But still, living in the outside world after spending her entire life in a closed environment, it could be years before she adapts. You'd think that even things like the sky would be unsettling after spending your life in a cave.

I suspect that her meeting the adventurers is a stroke of luck, as the researcher they're escorting wants to know about inside the volcano.

Which means he'll have to teach Matilda a language so she can tell him, and that will likely lead her in a circuitous route to charging the researcher money for the information. Or maybe the Adventurers will help her out in that regard.

Either way, Matilda's probably pretty lucky during her exile.
Am I the only person who thinks that Mr. Roboto rusts out and eventually becomes the Ironman?

No not that Ironman, the other one!

Money? What's this "money" thing you speak of?

Sure, lucky. But remember, she's been in a closed environment, no need to eat, no currency because no trading. Literally all they have to do is fight each other and collect rocks. That's _it_. Maybe send some of the boys out to get some sticks, but that's the bare limit of the _maximum_ they have to do, not the _minimum_. No eating, hence no growing food, no trading for food, no cooking.

You'd be amazed at how much spare time you have when you don't need to eat, and you don't need to do work to get food to eat - or to keep a roof over your head.

It doesn't look like we really get to see what happens to her sister, though. =(

Matilda still doesn't know herself, I'd say. So... given this is backstory, we're not going to see things that she doesn't know. Maybe. Unless Ambaargh wants to show us.
