(New updates at the bottom of the thread)

Hey there every bunny.

I know it's been ages since iposted anything here.   And to tell you the truth I have really missed this place.

I'll post a more standard sorry to dissapear and beautiful Goober post later but for now I have something to show you folks

I'm still working on a cyborg bunny costume and wanted to share the hand that's replacing my old clamps

This is a pic of the construction process and items used

Here is the finished internal rig

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10219264/

And finally this is it in use.
http://youtu.be/ndK7EbeYKjk

I need to adjust the springs and paint it before I fit it to a shell but what do you folks think

thegayhare

I know this isn't much of an update but here is a image of the rough shell I'm working on.  It's only lightly glued into place for now

LionHeart

The hand looks neat. How sturdy is it? Strong enough to pick up items, or is it just for show?

I'm on deviantART.
Also FurAffinity

thegayhare

as it stands now it's strong enough to pick up atleast a 16 oz water bottle

I tested the rough shell I cut slots for the claws. I am going to make the face plate next but I think I'll cut an angle from the shell to make a palm

Here we have my paw shell pretty much finished.   I just need to paint it and tack it down

also a couple of furs mentioned they thought I was cute with my glasses and beard.   So I realized.   I'm the chubby Gordan Freeman

I saw this and thought of your project.

That's cool gives me a steampunky Alice and wonderland vibe

I'm planning on making a chain axe for my cyborg set up

Based on warhammer designs like this

But I'm not sure which design to use what do you folks think?

llearch n'n'daCorna

The third one is likely to be the easiest to fabricate; the first, I think, would look the best.

The middle one has that flat segment in the middle; it makes it look more blunt and crushy than spiky and choppy, to me; I feel the first one is more aggressive and suitable for an axe.

Just my 2p, tho.

I agree the last one would be simpliest but once I build in the chain belts and motor I can see any design working my pod mate at work agrees with you and likes 1  but on FA they seem to like the middle one

thegayhare

I know this may seem tasteless in light of whats happened in RL and my tital certainly is but this was in the works before that

It's a grenade to go with my cyborg costume

Unpainted. but other wise done
the body is a parmesan container and I used cloropast to make the top a key ring for the pin and a plastic spoon for the spoon

I'm planing on painting the body gray or silver with a black cap and spoon

what do you think ?

No the title doesn't make sense but I'm sick in the head

I painted my grenades (I made two) and also replaced the plastic spoons with some strips pf metal used in hanging files. Its not the same shape but a buddy in the military liked the new look better

I'm thinking of adding some rubberized tubing in the body ridges but I don't know and I might add some sand inside the cases to give them weight But I think they look cool

Boog

fklaksjkfl; WHY DIDN'T I KNOW ABOUT THIS BEFORE?

Dude, love the costuming stuff. It's all coming out great. Kinda has a neat Warhammer 40k Orks vibe, can't wait to see the rest.

thegayhare

I hope no one minds I rather like changing the title of the thread with every new upload.   but if that causes trouble I can stop

Thanks Boog   I am having fun making this.  I may have sometihng claw related to post this week but for now I just have some art I commissioned

This is the thread namer

As some folks know I recently err came into my heritiage.... it's mixed elder god on moms side demonic hell bitches on my dad's   so as part of this Bunny has changed some so far just his eyes and his ears.   (I'm lucky my cat sister grew great big honking rams horns) I rather like my new look and the ears allow for lots of fun but Bunny has fears.... his biggest is he's not done changing.  this is the representation of bunny's worst night mare,  that if he is still changing how will his foxy react

on a happier note me and Jon

me and Jon snuggle

Me and Jon opening our favorite Xmas presents

Me and Jon playing video games (sensing a pattern yet in the art I commision?)

How bunny Met Jon

Lastly this isn't sometihng I commissioneed or made  but it's an image I found I loved it and wanted to us it to make a patch for a jacket but the orriginal pic was too confined  with everything crammed into a perfect box.   I took my limitied art skills and expanded the tenticals letting it spill out over the edge ov the canvas making it feel a bit more organic I think

thegayhare

a rough paint job

I've got to shave the claw slots a bit to make the fingers move smoothly

I think it looks rather good

http://youtu.be/jU8F2FI54-Y

thegayhare

Here I am testing out my new claws with my uper arm.

there has been some slight changed to it since my last post. I shortened the springs, and shaved my claw slots for ease of movement.

In my finished costume I'll be wearing black under armor ro blend the seems a little better.

I'm building my cyborg armor using PVA Foam a techneique I first learned about from IndyMogul

http://youtu.be/vb6CXGortrQ

I made a template using craft paper and applied it to two of the 2 foot square EVA pads.

After cutting I used the heat gun to bend the armor into place.

It's boxy for now, (with my body shape It was necessary) but once I build up the layers it'll look pretty cool

For now the seem down the front looks the most out of place but that will be taken care of as it's built up

thegayhare

Hi all

as part of my cyborg armor I decided I needed a Jump pack. Nothing to allow flight but something sufficient for enhanced jumps. I used a base from an old crt monitor as the central part. the bottoms of 4 sweet tea bottles for the thrusters and a 3/4 gallon water jug for the jump engine

Here its only taped in place. I'm planing on installing a fan under the main engine and red and yellow leds in the bottoms of each thruster and the engine. the bottoms will stay translucent while I paint the other parts to give it the look of a powered piece of equipment

Also I've found that good music for my to work to is Steam Powered Giraffe
http://youtu.be/dDRHx4cPgbE
something about them just gets me enthused to get more mechanical

I love the music but watching them preform is something amazing
http://youtu.be/gQWY-JOhF2I

thegayhare

I created a couple new templates for the armor. I traced them out onto another sheet of PVA foam. I then used my new hot knife to cut out the templates. I rounded down the edges with the sander tip on my dremal. I used the heatgun on the piece to curve the plates

thegayhare

I used another rough template on the front, I then cut the template with my hot knife, I also cut the slots cot the face guard into the top piece. I then uses the hear gun to curl the armor so the top layer would fit over the contoured belly armor. I beveled the edges with my dremel tip. Its not done yet I'll use the hot knife to even out the face guard. I'll then patches to cover the gap in the sides of the breastplates. After that I'll be installing under lighting in the face plate and I'm going to install lights in the sides of the contoured belly armor. It'll be set so that you can't see the leds themselves but the light should shine across the armor. I'm thinking reds, for the lights

Thanks Llearch I'm having fun working on it

Almost done combat mask for wearing my armor in non furred situations

made of pieces of EVA foam on a Friday the 13th mask and set of cheap safety goggles

I'll be adding some lights in the eyes, and rounding the edges with a dremel. I'll also be carving the face plate into a skull plate design

thegayhare

I've worked at some of the detail on the battle mask
the red lenses are jut temps for now, I'll be adding permenent red lenses to the mask once they arrive and setting lights behind them.

I'm thinking ot doing the skull part in gray or silver with black for the rest of the mask

thegayhare

I've wired the eyes in my mask. I added a switch to the inside I can flick with my tongue

Sorry about the title but I have die hard on the brain

As part of my costume I was planning to mod my longshot. I actually had it painted 2 years ago but only got around to putting it together last night

Its a basic mod I removed the butt stock painted the shell gray the bolt is black, and on the opposite side I added a small plastic skull that will move when the bolt is worked. the other bolt cover is also painted black and I removed the bi-pod and attached that bolt to the right side 0of the bipod mount. on the other side I attached a bicycle handle bar as a cross grip for the gun

It's still a functioning blaster too

I have the barrel extender back together and will be photographing it once the add ons are complete. I'm mounting a flashlight and laser sight to it

thegayhare

Here is the barrel extender for my longshort

I cut off the attached pistol, painted it to match the blaster then I mounted the laser in the right eye socket and a LED flashlight in the left before attaching it to the barrel. each light is attached to it's own switch so the laser site can be on with or with out the light.

I think it's just about finished

With the barrel extender and the cross grip, the gun looks alot like a light machine gun. Its a good fit too.

the laser sight isn't accurate it slants down ward but its for the look of the thing

I'm also thinking of putting a knife in the skulls teeth, I might still do that as an alterinitive to the current cross grip

thegayhare

I removed cross grip I had mounted on the gun this way I can use the base like a pulse rifle with out the grip getting in the way. I then attached it to a toy knife. I then rewired the laser and light to the grip. the white button controls the laser, and the red one the flashlight. I then mounted the knife blade to the roof of the skulls mouth.

I think the knife in the teeth look for the cross grip looks pretty cool what about you guys

thegayhare

Well I was working on a wooden sword for a while now. I whittled down then wooden pole and painted it with 2 coats of gray, and topped with a coat of silver.

I then tool a section of pva foam, painted it brown to try and simulate leather. I then used small screws driven through the foam into the plastic bones for the cross piece, the smaller bones are attached with hot glue. I wrapped the handle with white duct tape and attached a small skull with a little length of key chain
