Really like how you've done the hair here, Nyil.  It looks similar to how Mab does it, only (obviously) more blended and 'painted'.

Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun, gray characters can pull this look off so much better than I can - it's just with how easy contrast is to pull off with a character like that.

Oh my, that's quite the thick and curvy set of hips you've given her.  Me Gusta.

This is totally how I color my hair. With freaking MAGIC. And glowing sparks.

This was actually kind of a quick speed paint experiment to work on a few things. It was pretty, though, so I decided to post it.

Sh... err He always looks so angry. XD

I really like the shading on the.. scarf?  Is that the right word for it?  Though I do feel it could be a bit more pronounced.

A wee little doodle to make sure I don't get rusty with these BODY things. Bodies, who needs 'em?

... Right, I do.

Well, also, more practice with the stylized approach to hair.

(S)he is -always- angry. I don't think it would be quite accurate to draw a smile all up in there, do you?

I'll keep that in mind the next time - maybe some delicate highlights would have done well there.

Well... you _could_ draw a smile that looks very angry. That's always an unusual expression to give a go at.

Just a thought for something to try sometime, mind. No objections to what you're currently drawing, nor how you're drawing it.

Frrts with angry smiles, or just angry smiles in general? I don't know, sometimes I swear it's like he's got facial paralysis, he scowls so much ;) At least at me.

I wasn't thinking specifically, although I probably should have been.

I was thinking more along the lines of general practicing type thing. Not sure how you fit that in with the rest of your busy schedule, though, nor what art might suit such a thing. :-/

The old thread was getting a little crowded, and was full of old art. So, here's a new, less cluttered thread, with new art! First off, the piece from tonight's stream!

Nice.  How did you do the spell circle thing?  Did you just draw it flat and then transform it?

And yes (having quickly glanced through the FA page), furries wearing hides and stuff is a fun idea to play with in a gruesome sort of way.  When I want to portray someone as being a total psychopath, leather made from their victims usually figures into it somewhere...

... Oops, that painting is actually really really really really old - the first one in this thread. Guess I accidentally quoted that when I was posting my other painting last night.

The spell circle was done in a separate file, several blue circles and then some freehand doodles inside them to make them look more complicated, and then set on top of everything else in the painting. I then set that layer to... color or lighten I think. Some mode to make it look glowy and neat. Just a little something to 'cheat' Photoshop into doing what I ask of it.

Heh.  That would explain a few things, like why you were referring to something from December in the text...

Lots of purple! I like it, it's very... scenic

Oh, thank you very much! I don't know what quite compelled me to use so much purple, but it was a lot of fun!

Just FYI, Nyil, the finger seems short. If you have a look at the length of your finger, it's about the same as the length of the back of your hand. So... that one looks a lot shorter than it should.

Other than that, I am in awe of the quality of the art you post here.

I needed a boy to have for my portfolio, so, here we go. Your stereotypical Irish ragamuffin. The concept for the background was actually taken from one of my band's CD covers: Pleraca. In case anyone wants to like, search for it on Amazon or anything - it's like, the only thing that shows up.

Aha, you know, I was sorta afraid I'd make the finger too long at first, so I didn't extend it, but you're right, it is way too short. Thank you for noticing!

I realized halfway through painting this that this was the expression on every single Dreamworks protagonist ever created. So this self portrait is dedicated to my dream of working for them, or something.

I've been busy lately trying to get an actual job as an actual artist, so I can say I make real money doing art for real companies/people instead of.. the Monopoly money I've been getting from fffffffffffffurries. ... Even though I love you furries and your colorful internet money. So, sorry for all the humans lately!

Just a little something something. Thought I'd add some of my flamboyant designs and patterns to it - I spent a long time studying Irish knots, so it'd be a shame not to use that practice.

Yeah, it's Alexsi, I just took a few liberties with her outfit and hammer - I've always wanted to carve some things into that hammer!

Thank you very much!
