Well anyway maybe Abel's afraid to be sued or pay royalties for using Devon's personality without permission. That might explain why Abel's barricading himself in. Though more likely he might not want to confront a person he blames himself for getting killed.

The Gryphbot was destroyed when Mab went nuclear with the repoters on her land. The only other name given at this point that could possibly the pink bot is M.A.C.E.

I'd go with increased strength in this case. Something that makes horrible screeching sounds when pushed seems unlikely to be under the effect of a mass negate/reduction spell

Actually, it looked like a plotter to me. They had one at the office where I used to work that could generate a plot that was 36 inches wide and could be as long as the roll of paper (over a hundred feet).

How would Abel be "using Devon's personality"?  He's using his own and Devon is using his own.
