"I Lost My Head," Gentle Giant, I Lost My Head Album.

That I'll have to look into.  I really did like "Pantagruel's Nativity..."
Right now, I'm listening to "Love Never Dies" by Apoptygma Berzerk, which was supposedly banned for sampling 'O Fortuna' from Orff's Carmina Burana.

The first fifty seconds of this Persona 4 video. This song stupidly wasn't included on the soundtrack :<

"Marked" Bad Religion.  Particularly one of my favorites because of the opening line of "If I am a monster, I am a willing one."

Before I finished posting, it changed to "Fuck Armageddon, this is hell" Bad Religion. One that's up there for me because of the line "There's people out there who say I'm no good, because I don't believe the things that I should."

Lostangles

Just surfing OC Remix myself, debating whether this song should make my playlist or not.

I think it might, but then my music collection tends to be a touch eclectic, if not leaning towards alternative.

"The American Metaphysical Circus" by the United States of America (1968)

...this is extremely experimental and far-out, even for 1968.  I'd run it from about 2:00 where it's simply far-out, as opposed to completely demented (e.g. the start)

We shall shortly institute / A syntopicon of fear
While it's painful, it will suit / Many customers whose appetites are queer
Or for those who wish to pay / There are children you can bleed
In a most peculiar way / We can give you all the instruments you'll need

And the price is right - the cost of one admission is your mind

That wonderful ballad reminded my instantly of Fish Heads, who do not seem to be the providers of much fun, either. (song starts at 2:20 mark).

Surprisingly, a Forum search shows the Fish Heads song has only been referenced three times prior to this one.

Edit: One more song by him Chlapci z predmestia (boys from the city frontend) The video didn't make it to tv when it was made as the TV redaction did not like the break-dancing which was reminiscent of decadent USA  :mowhappy

Thanks Laitai, for the link. While listening to the Dubliners on YouTube, I noticed the "promoted link" to the side, and, well, the title got the best of me and I had to check it out. It's part of ProjectRant dot com and covers the act of indulging in one's bodily function in the produce aisle in a super market. Possible NSFW due to subject matter; LINK

So that is what I was listening to at the moment. My apologies to all.

danman; thanks for the links. I am curious about what was being played during that era when the 'Cold War' was still on.
