Anything the police USED to own, assuming it includes a really really long run-way.

Best way to commit suicide : D

I don't get it. o_O

Ussually, you'll find that standard police vehicles don't have governers, which basically means they won't top-out. Given enough space, you can make it go ridiculously fast, until the car itself either just goes airborne or can't handle it any longer.

Picture yourself, going about 300, and just slightly turning the wheel a few inches. You're probably gonna start flying in any given direction, the car will flip, and the momentum will carry you to impending doom very quickly.

Maybe it's not a pretty way to go, but it's one hell of a ride.

bill

Uh, I don't think a Crown Vic will go 300.

TheDXM

Hell no. But the Caprice (The GOOD cars they got rid of) go over 180 atleast, if you give them the room.

That is all kinds of awesome.

I actually was looking to buy a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor a while back. Beautiful car.

TheDXM

I perfer the Tahoe, personally.

Just because a car doesn't have a governor doesn't mean it will just keep accelerating.  The car has to be geared right to get to higher speeds.  If it isn't, you'll just end up redlining and overheating/tearing the engine to shreds.

Actually, I believe they do use those in action.

LigerJet

They only have -very- few, so I doubt they see all that much heavy action. ^^; Still cool though.

One can never have too many lambos. It's a fact of life.

That latter picture looks curiously like a painting. Yeah, I know it's a stupid observation but it looks fake.

Nicky Hayden's CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING (woot) Honda RC211V.

Repsol cars/bikes look so cool.

Aren't we discussing cars? Anyway, the new 4-cylinder (!) Ducati Desmosedici RR sportsbike can easily top any Honda or Suzuki in coolness. And overall performance...

New Lamborghini Miura concept, a modernization of perhaps the world's most beautiful classic car:

And a new challenger on the supercar front that renews my love for Audis everywhere; the R8:
