new languages?

yo I was wondering if we could have more language options for the forum, if we provide translations.

I'd like to have portuguese

Those are packs that must be downloaded from SimpleMachines.  I'll have to look into the feasibility of this.

I tried the Spanish language and it didn't work for me. I posted to say that and my message was deleted. Was there anything wrong with my post? If so, I'd rather know what it was. I didn't mean to offend anyone or do anything wrong, and if I don't know what my mistake was odds are I'll make it again.

Well I do know I didn't make a spanish language image pac for the skins. The only skins that will allow multiple langauges are the "SMF Default" and the "New Classic". I'm monolingual, so there was little chance of me making the other skins.

That's the link to the english folder for the buttons. Basically, each langauge needs just that chunk of stuff changed to a new language and then have the new buttons uploaded into an approproate folder (i.e. spanish, french, spanglish, piglatin, etc.).  Then the skin will work for that language... In theory anyway. I've discovered theory doesn't always pan out, but we'll start from there and move on as need be.

Ok, here we go in Spanish. I've included some comments between parentheses. Topic could be translated as discusión, tópico or tema. I thought discusión sounded more natural, but if it's too long you can pick one of the others.
