That entire clip sounds good... though Dan seems to growl a lot.  Who's voice is that for Abel?  Is that Brun?

Actually, Dan seems to growl a lot in all of the Radio Project audios.

I love the clip at the end.  Cracked right up!  I'll keep bugging Teekay for 'Lexi/Danlexi lines.

Yes.

It's interesting that what I consider to be some of Dan's best lines where recorded when James was going through a bad patch.  I don't know if this was the case here, but I do like how they turned out.

Thanks, that would be dead handy.

I just listened to the mp3 you put up.

Ah.. should we round up the usual suspects? ;-]

The big temptation was to say 'Mr. Cross' instead of 'Mr. Soze'...

so as we've all seen, Pip now has actual lines in the most recent DMFA comic.

I tried saying them in the same voice I used for Pip's growling.  It may be because my throat's a bit sore, but it sounds terrible.  Do you have a plan yet, or do you intend to take care of that whenever the current arc is radio-ized?

[edit]eh-heh, I just took Aleolus's suggestion from the comic thread, and tried the lines in my best Sean Connery imitation.

Not too terribly bad, if I do say so myself, though probably not what you're going for.  Sample available upon request.

Fragmaster01

Sadly, I do think that would be an awesome accent for pip. Requesting sample?

Fuyudenki

OK, but I can not be held responsible if your ears bleed.

Pip Connery, in her majesty's secret service.

Come to think of it, that tagline is strikingly accurate.

I'm having fun imagining him as Harry Shearer.  I may send a clip, if (1) I can find the time, (2) I can find a quiet place in my new apartment, and (3) I can do a passable Shearer.

Would you like a googolplex (gzipped 57 times)?

According to Amber, he's supposed to sound like Merlitz.  i.e. me.  Hence my plan was to stick my head in the sand and hope it wouldn't happen for quite some time.

I'll check your version later...

Maybe he should sound like Bob Page. He has an awesome voice.

D: What? I thought that Amber said she doesn't like listening to the Radio Project because it messes with the voices in her own head, or something... Also, what parts are currently needed, aside from Pip, which may already be covered anyways? I remember a Biggs was needed awhile back.

No idea.  As usual, I've completely lost track of everyone who hasn't actually been incorporated in an episode.
One of these days I'll have to get organised and make a spreadsheet or something.  In fact that might be a plan for the weekend etc since I have monday off too.

technically wasn't "radio project" material.

So 'officially,' Tapewolf's voice is what Pip sounds like when speaking.  Did Amber ever say anything with regards to the DMFA Merlitz, though?

also, props to Brun for making a very natural and believable-sounding Abel.

She seemed to like it when the subject came up at AC.

I will be submitting what i believe is all the lines for abel tomorrow morning, and if it sounds a bit harsh or scratchy thats not my mic, thats my voice, and i am supprised that me being sick did not hinder the quality.... although my mic cannot handle loud or high sounds so whenever i had to yell it didnt work well

I've decided that if any fight noises are needed, I'm quite willing to bang myself/my fist/my head off anything else to get descent sounds.

One sound I've not been able to do very well is a body dropping or falling over, e.g. 290.  I have one sound for that which I keep using over and over...

I've now got Brun's latest sound set and will hopefully have a new recording up sometime tomorrow.  One point for Brun: we do not call Wildy 'Willdy'.  'While-Dee' is what we're calling her.  I might be able to fix that via editing, but it would be nice if you could redo it at some point...

Can didily do done, expect it next saturday. Friday is the end of my Mocks, so me and mates are going to town, and ill be getting a mic for a tenner.

Tapewolf

I got a bit more done, but I'm not sure it's worth releasing yet.  I had less Wildy lines than I thought and I can't do Pyroduck owing to a bad throat.  Hopefully that should clear up soon, and I'll see what I can do about Wildy in the meantime.

if you can find it there exists oral anasthetics, a few spritzes and your throat gets numb and your voice goes normal. you still cough, but not as often..... but dont take too much or you get loopy

Usually Tunes work, but not this time.
By the way, next time you get the chance, could you look at doing the gasp of horror for when Abel sees Pyroduck?  I can probably do the whistling myself if need be.

so a correction of wildy and a gasp of horror, anything else?

i dont know when the next time i will be alone and quiet, i now have double toddler action..... its like a two foot tall comedy routine jumping on my kidney

That's all I can think of.  I must confess I have a horrible habit, when presented with vast amounts of dialog, of not listening to all of it until closer to the time it is needed, but those were the only things that jumped out at me.  For now I'm leaving the gasp off, and I'll patch it in when it's available.

Ignore my normal speaking voice, I talk stoopid.

For Pip, I think we'll have to put this one up to a poll again.

Anyway, sans Wildy, here's a new recording:

Another series of new recordings, for the recent Nutmeg lines, as well as a re-attempt at the "Oh... I guess caramel delites will do then" line. They may sound a little bit odd since my Nutmeg voice is kind of rusty, so if you guys need for me to retry them I'll be more than happy to. If there are other lines which need to be redone, also bring them to my attention, Tapewolf.

Oops, thanks for the Nutmegs, Keaton.

Here's a quick short on the Church arc: after this I'm going to need Alexsi again.

In some ways this is inspired by a scene from the Italian film 'Volere Volare', in which one of the sound engineers dubs a clip of a porn film with cartoon sound effects.

I present:

Devin's mother. Recorded by my sister, so that the accents would match up.

From the "I get there in the end" archives.

Oh dear.

E, I'll try and find that if I can.

That's good.  It goes into distortion at the end, but you'll need a limiter of some kind to sort that out which is asking a bit much :P

If you do get the chance is there any possibility of recording just that yell with the mic further away or the gain turned down or something?
