I'm presently employed to cut open cardboard boxes and extract their innards so that people may purchase them.
I use to do that.
Now I just take said innards that people purchase and bag them after asking them "paper or plastic?".

I used to do both of those,

and tell people "You have to come inside and pay before you can pump gas"

and my last job involved cutting up animals, grinding them up, scrubbing blood and bone off walls and floors and out of machines

Reese Tora

I work for a company the buisness of which is to do for real what the 'can you hear me now' guy does in commercials.

Except I don't do that part uinless we're short handed.   I do a little of everything else... inventory, data processing, coding, tech support, server and network administrator.

mainly inventory, though, since we're pretty small and the tech side stuff doesn't need to be dealt with often

(Gods know what I'm going to put on my resume when I go looking for a new job.)

Mostly I sit on my butt and wait for someone to need something, though.

College student,
the only reason I have a positive grade is English, because I hang out to much with you people.
and my education is real (repeat the l to infinity) low.l But at least I don't have to put to much effort into my school  >:3

I'm also a full-time naive dork that has nothing better to do than stare at a computer screen all day long :)

RJ is a squirrel.

Ohhhh, so THAT'S what I'm supposed to be doing. I got mixed up and thought I was llearch. :B

(But seriously, I'm an Arts student studying to be a journalist/writer. Every full moon I turn into a paper delivery girl though. It's a horrible curse.)

No, you're not supposed to be boxed in.

The last five months weren't pretty, that's for sure... :<

I'm a writer. Yes, a real one, no, not famous.

I also work part-time in a local farm and feed store as a human forklift, so you can imagine how well/often my writing pays.

Maybe you could be a bouncer and make people buy a copy of your book before you let them into the bar/club/disco/rave/bouncy castle.

Oh dear.

I teach a subject at university and work 6 hours a day as a programmer. Yes, I work too much.

Fantastique! I'd love to teach at a University; ended up in secondary education instead. Which is a lot of fun, cause you're never bored, but I want to be a smug pretentious git again and wear black polo sweaters. Grow my hair long again too. Put it in a ponytail. Smoke flavoured tobacco. Think that philosohpy is a real and worthwhile subject. Ah...yes. Good times!

I'm in retail, and everyone that is a customer for the most part can die where I work at. It's okay though, I have learned as long as you are in a calm state and remain that way, you can still be mean as heck and get away with it. Yeah...retail is icky, but oh well. Being a some what drunk after hours is always fun. Hmm...I'm quieter on the internet these days then irl...but i do talk alot on the cell phone haha
Mirror, mirror, on the wall, whose to say who I really am at all?

I work as Custodial/Janitorial at the Green Mill restaurant here where I live...I I work from 8 AM to 11 AM (11 AM is when they open) in the mornings. If you happen to stop by in Grand Forks, ND...feel free to stop by on Columbia Road at the Green Mill (course I may not be there at the moment you stop by).
I'm a Skype User.

Knight

I screw around on forums, go to college, and get denied good employment repeatedly simply because of a bad credit history.

I actually am a circulation supervisor at my local library. The  reference librarian calls me a "para professional" but I think she's just jealous of my mad reference skillz.  Although middle management isn't too far off.

I also deal blackjack, three card poker, poker, and craps for a casino entertainment company, write press releases for hideously bad books, have a Pennsylvania real estate license, can put a woman in a comfortable yet flattering bra, know the secrets to great skin care, can tell you the difference between body spray and eau de toilette, can define a proper legal radio identifcation announcement, and can carry four full glasses or four plates of steak and random sides (although not at the same time).

Darkmoon hates me in a room full of strangers.  I'm the kind of person that will strike up a converstation about the weather, and then get your life story whether I want it or not.  Get me drunk and I'm even more fun. ;)

Can I rent some time on the Universal Constructor?

Does not exist.

There are no Titanium Armored Space Shuttles at SLC 6 either.

Except for the bar, none of those exist here. And what they use for bars tend to be backwards, in that they're full of gigantic, sweaty, obnoxious men instead of having them guarding the doors.

Officially, I'm a student. That said, I've held a number of other "real" but short jobs since turning eighteen, and a few not so "real" ones before I did, mostly construction, service and cooking. Stuff that I know. But I won't go into the things that I really shouldn't have done, even after turning eighteen.

Right now, I'm really just a student, full-time, what with tests and plans for working in other countries and such.

Brunhidden

i am a full time househusband. i say full time because the toddler in question has a knack to climb and has often been found in the posesion of knives as a result. you dont know how hilarous something so cute and dangerous can be untill you see a toddler chase grandpa around the kitchen with a knife.

fortunately most of the time i just teach her new words, let her chat on MIRC and AIM (she can and does, she knows how to type 'hi' and knows the names of several of my online friends, for a 2 year old thats impressive), watch some movies, draw with crayons, clean, and cook (she likes helping me cook, which is a problem really)

also i am a part time manager at the newspaper....means i sit in a distribution plant and make sure the paper carriers arrive and leave on time and have people complain at me. you have no idea how important it is for companies to have someone to be complained at. hopefully someday i can quit this and get a job at a bookstore or something...

QuoteMy goal is simple. It is a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all.
Some will fall in love with life,
and drink it from a fountain;
that is pouring like an avalanche,
coming down the mountain.

I guess you can do that if you want to. Me, I wear my hair really long, but almost always loose, I don't smoke and I prefer to dress in either bright colors or shades of blue. And philosophy is one of the few things that I know are real.
