Hey there, yesterday I was reading Bram Stoker's Dracula, late at night and near the end of the chapter 2, there is the scene Were Jonathan is being raped by three vampires that I assume to be Dracula's wife's, and then Dracula Appears from the nowhere and says:

"How dare you touch him, any of you? How dare you cast eyes on him when I had forbidden it? Back, I tell you all! This man belongs to me!"

That seemed Veeeeeeeeeery homosexual to me, CVRPG Dracula crossed my mind "He really is gay" I thought to myself.

Darkmoon did you take this part as inspiration or this just a Coincidence???

Darkmoon

Pure coincidence, but it does line up nicely. I always thought of the Bram Stoker's Dracula as asexual. Stoker never established that blood was like sex. I always figured that Harker was Drac's property because Drac wanted the blood, not for any other sexual attachment.

My Dracula is gay because he keeps getting beaten by dudes in leather skirts, weilding whips. That seems even gayer. ;)

admittedly I haven't read Dracula, but what Dracula said doesn't exactly have to imply that he wants to screw him.

Imagine this, you've got a brand new top of the line computer. It has so many bells and whistles it is practically an orchestra. It has a video card that you needed to sign a waiver on because its graphics were so real that it was causing psychosomatic symptoms in people. Basically pimped out in all manners and fashion.

Now you finally get the chance to get some real quality time in with it. Possibly play ShootemupDude4, or Resourcefarmer, or LoL; and now you find your sister playing solitaire on it, even though she has a perfectly good computer in her room.

You might object to her using it, and say something along the lines of, "its mine." Its not that you want to make love to it (its got a port for that by the way) but you feel some level of ownership and entitlement to it.

<SquirrelWizard> I talk to myself all the time, and I'm the sanest guy I know.

<TotalBiscuit> Upgrades! Upgrades! Upgrades! Its wacky-waving-inflatable-arm waving... nuclear missile... well, suppose that works...

I know what you guys mean, but that part of the book was so sexual that is impossible not to think in some sexual Innuendo.

I've been making jokes about Gabriel being gay during my first playthrough of Lords of Shadow.  If any of the spoilers people have been throwing my way (despite me telling them not to) are true, then it all makes sense.

Darkmoon

A nice synchronicity, yes.

I don't get it, if he is who he claims to be, them who is Mathias?

Also *spolier* Zobek realy look like Shaft in the epilogue O_O *spolier*

Darkmoon

Two different continuities. Konami has said Lords of Shadows is a separate side story, completely unrelated to the fucked up continuity that is the main series.

One that, so far, I'm enjoying a great deal.  I don't know how others feel about it, but it's been playing out well so far.  Made it just past the vampire wench.

As far as I'm concerned there is one Dracula. It's not a title, nor some identity just anyone can assume. It's the dude's last name, implying that he's the Son of Dracul (the a makes him son of, ie a son of a bitch would be Bitcha). Stupid Konami.

But, if I ignore that, I had heard mixed things about the game itself, so I wasn't even sure if I was gonna pick it up.

I guess he got that nick name thanks to his clan, the Draco clan witch means Dragon in latin... I don't think it is thanks to his father name... but I guess I'm wrong...

I do know that Bram Stoker chose this name because he read it in a book that it was a synonymous to devil/demon.
