I just came up with a weird thought and I never saw any other thread with this! (correct me if wrong, ish suck at searching).....

Matilda is a taur added with Dans feline genes and make the child a hir (Herm) and we got a blue furred Chakat. And since all in Cyra clan is green eyed it's perfect. Dan and Matilda's child makes a good natural chakat!

cheers Chakat Keklily.....  :mowcookie

Hiya, Keklily. The Lost Lake is PG-rated. Chakats are not. Nuff said.

Someone in the valley calls out to me;
A voice from the past, fading out fast;
Am I to be wary, do I have to be;
I just know, I have to be there.

Yes. You can. If you really try. You haven't, you're merely bringing them up. Hence, not PG. Hence, not allowed in Lost Lake.

Thank you for playing, have a nice day.

Would you care to argue the point further?

If the Abandoned Mine is where the posts that are too silly to live in the other forums, goes.
Then where do posts that are too silly for the Abandoned Mine go ?

No such thing.  The mine is the be all and end all of the stupidity of CMF.  All things too stupid for the mods to stomach end up here to be mocked.  It is the final resting place for bad threads.

To this day and age I am still not sure what exactly a chakat is.  From my base knowledge of the internet is a hermaphrodite cat-taur?

llearch n'n'daCorna

herm taur, basically, yes. As written by someone who doesn't get laid enough.

I just left it up to context and never asked many questions on the subject.
Unless you want to look it up.

herm taur, basically, yes.

pretty much, yeah... truth be told i never really understood the point of herms. (outside of the obvious of course)

i find the terminology folks use such as "Hir" to be extremely irritating.

Other than the fact that most of them don't require a partner to reproduce...?

Looking about, I think the main reason I am probably meh to the idea of hermaphrodite characters is I find their character development stunted.  When you have a race or an individual who's main appeal or focus is their genitals, it tends to put them in a rather closed perspective.    I remember talking to a friend about the possibility of making a character a herm but never actually making any reference to the fact and the person responded with "well what is the point then?"

The issue I find with herms is that in a lot of characters, they are their character feature first and personality second.  To a lesser extent I find it the same problem that sometimes happens when you bring a gay character into play.  They don't really exist as a character all of their own, with their own personal quirks and feelings and aspirations...they are TEH GAY CHARACTAAARGH.  And in that sense, a chakat would always be a chakat first and foremost and "that chakat character" rather than the individual.  And having a character be defined by such a single feature is often a hamper to the character since they either have to work extra hard to be a character despite their feature, or they have to embrace their feature and fall into the pitfall of "yeah. I got both sets of danglies."

Anker Steadfast

Yeah, I reckon making a good character around that would be complicated ... though I think a Jellyfish might be harder still.

They start out life as larva, which then goes into a form of chrysalis where they become a sort of plant/coral, which then splits itself into what is kinda like a stack of pancakes, where each pancake is essentially a non-gendrered jellyfish! Then they float around in order to mature .. some of them become males, other becomes females and their "danglies" are at their mouths .. of which they have four. As well as four "brains", four central nervous systems, and if damaged, they can sometimes split into 4 separate jellyfish ! All of which can lay egg, that can turn into larvae, thus restarting the process. Also, they don't breathe, they don't go to the toilet, doesn't have a heart, heck doesn't even have blood vessels or even blood!

Yeah, we humans can come up with some odd creatures, but we have nothing on nature.

Nature is just weird!

:D
