I have to admit this is an idea I can see going very wrong, assuming it's not just something he's doing at the moment just for the hell of it.  He's bound to slip at some point unless he wants to stay as a girl for the next year or so.

He should just have stuck as a guy.  It's not like he hasn't been around (sans wings) during opening hours.  That he's suddenly changed sex is liable to be a bit of a giveaway to whatever regular patrons they've had in the last month or whatever.

On the other hand, when he goes off-shift, he goes off-shift. Which means there's no way he's going to be dragged in by some drunk, but confused patron.

... not that I think Alexsi would have drunk patrons, but Abel is hardly to be blamed for covering his bases like this.

... and then there's the possibility of Abella covering the day shift, and Abel covering the night shift ("she's my sister.", just as a cover...)

'Course they have the same spot patterns.  Not sure if you can have identical twins of different sexes...?

Lorenda wouldn't care anyway, being mostly creature herself. As for everyone else, well, it'd be easy enough for him to lie his buns off and say he was using a patch, or just "padding" for the sheer humour of the situation. It's not as if it's obvious they're natural at a glance, or say from a distance.

I see llearch's posted while I was tapping this out, and my only comment is that Alexsi said he's helping with the night shift. He's under no compulsion to work during the day as well (ie, when Alexsi or someone else is there to do it).
This post has been brought to you by Bond. Janus Bond. And the Agency™. And possibly spy cameras.

Good point.

True.  Though the fact that it's day now and he's apparently on duty now (practicing?) kind of threw me.

... And, of course, there's his natural aptitude for causing confusion in others. (I was going to for confusion, but his aptitude, according to Ink, is misery, so thats out.) I can easily see him turning up in breasts one day, and no breasts the next, just to mess with people's heads...

As for "not on day shift", that depends on how bored he gets...

I don't think he has to worry.  A person's sex (unless you have, uh, personal knowledge) is almost always an assumption.  He's never said "Hey, I'm Abel, and I'm a male", after all.  What's to stop him from saying that he's always been the way he is, and make anyone asking just feel stupid for not being observant.  Plus, he could always cloud their mind a bit.

Strangely, all this comic could get me to think about was how weird it must feel to learn how to shapeshift your own vocal cords. I mean, if Abel still sounds like a man here, even a man impersonating a woman, that adds a whole new layer of "disturbing" to this scene. So, my next thought was that he might be shifting his vocal cords to bring his voice up a few pitches.

That must feel really strange when you do it for the first time, opening your mouth and hearing a voice that isn't like yours coming out. It must be strange to fine-tune, too; make the cords a tiny bit too short, and all of a sudden you'd sound like your voice was cracking or you'd just inhaled some helium. Or you could spend a whole day talking like Jeremy Irons, if you made them too long.   ;)

On the other hand, I can see a trait like that putting cubi in very high demand as singers. With a little practice, they'd be able to match any vocal range or reach any pitch with minimal difficulty! And, of course, it would make them naturals in the "deep, booming, intimidating voice" and "evil laugh" fields, too.  :mwaha

Pagan

Only have three words to say to this comic, just three. "Lookit dem hips!"

The thighs are nice too though.
After a long time, some things change. Some things don't. And I still love Regina!

Rayne Avalon

i agree with pagan, the female able does have a nice figure. hmm.... i wonder what Jyrass would have to say about abel now? :3

*stares at 2nd panel*
yep Abel porn past the roof now reaching new levels.  :3

But anyways Amber did a good job making Abel female and yet still look like Abel... gotta say this version of Abel is kinda cute so I hope this arc won't be the last of lady Abel.

Well, Abel's favourite food is confusion.

Abel could well be getting a good feed from Lorenda right now. (Somehow, that just sounds wrong...)

Ah, I knew I'd read something about confusion somewhere... I thought I was thinking of Dan...

... and yes, that sounds all sorts of wrong. ;-]

I must agree that Abel seems to be really enjoying playing the whole "bar maid floozy" bit.

When Jyrras told Lorenda about Abel, wouldn't he have used the masculine tense? Also, wouldn't he have mentioned the fact that Abel was cubi? I think Lorenda was only caught off guard and reacting humorously to Abel's bar maid getup, knowing full well who/what Abel is...

edited for typo; able Abel is able...

I went "Aheh" which is an unusually positive reaction for a Lorenda-heavy comic.

Oh dear.

Only Cubi are allowed to have an impossibly tight figure like that.  Still Fem-Abel is a hot Fem-Abel.

I can actually imagine Dan spoiling Abel's fun by explaining this to Lorenda.

This entire comic page is For The Win!

Looking at the page again I think fem-Abel and Lorenda wear the same cup size.
That is if fem-Abel wore a bra.

Yes, I do post just to see my own words on the screen.

You just had to put those wobble lines in there, didn't you Amber?

Please pay attention to the wobble-lines on panel 2! >:3

Especially since Able wouldn't have had time to put on a bra, that's... all natural perkiness.  :3
But there's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I knew I had seen that style of belt Lorenda has on before.  Aliph had one similar to it here.

icarus

they must have picked up the belts at the same demonic fashion store

kellyn: it's like being a secret agent, outside we look perfectly normal. no giant metal faces or tattooed eyes or mohawks. BUT. SECRETLY. DRAWING RAINBOW MONSTERS AND ROOOOLE PLAAAAAYING oh the shame oh the humanity, and man i know so many more cool people now wtf is that

skurvy

why is everyone getting all excited about Abel's trappy mantits

I mean, Lorenda's superior realboobs are right there gosh :>

Pagan

What are these Abel-boobs that you speak of? I merely see his legs. Oh, lovely things.

I cant tell if he looks cute or creapy............. nope, cant think.

Definitely cute.  ;)

EDIT: Question--was his hair always that long?

It seems maybe a little longer than usual, but it's the same length as his normal apperaance a few pages back.

http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1036.php

So no his hair is the same, although the style looks a a little more femenine, since the parts of his hair that point upward are not fully shown.

Lorenda isn't just confused, she's sad as well.  Perhaps a hidden affection for Jyrras comes to light?

Rule 34 starts now.   >:3

It's a snake, a snake, oh no, a snake.   :P

Ah, no wonder Abelita looks so happy in the third panel.  Mmmm, beef-flavored confusion.
/yeah, I'm trying to complete the set of 'feminine-modifier Abel' for the thread.  We've had Femabel, Abela, I just threw in Abelita...am I missing any?
//although the first panel does seem a bit strange to me for the reason that Lorenda seems to have instantly lost, then regained, her weight.  Doesn't seem to be enough bulge in the belly (waist narrower than breasts, for instance) and thunder thighs to match what she looks like in the next panel.  Just sayin. THAT perspective is always welcome.

There's an easier solution. Abel should not differentiate between two people/forms, and add some Noodle Implements (possibly in the form of sources of hot and cold water.) Then the only answer Abel needs to the inevitable question is "Fae curse." This nets two benefits: one, it invokes A Fae Did It, and establishes himself as a sympathetic character. Both deflect further inquiry; So long as he masks each shift with said noodle implements, that is.

I'm sure he is.  :P  He's too afraid of what will happen if he's found out to go that far....

(And thank you, Goatmon--I realized it was a foolish way to put that question since his hair is a LOT longer in Abel's Story....)
