We're counting in hexadecimal. "23" in hex equals "35." So my entry of "24" is "36." As I said, hex is a little weird.

We're doing hexadecimal.  When the number hits #9, we go to #A, all the way through #F.  Then it goes to the next number.  So 09>0A, 0F>10.
