I think Merlitz needs a hobbie to calm him down a bit or a new girlfriend. I think those Angry looks he does is hillarious but scary at the same time.

I don't think we ever saw him in a really foul mood except when another man tried to pick him up in the nightclub.  But he's always come across as being angsty, at least that's how I've seen him.  The only time I remember him as being actually happy is in #274 (which is shortly before something terrible happens anyway) and in his last strip where he's talking to Aliyka.

Oh - and really early in the strip when he does the 'Merlitz and the Human' backstory.

By the way, since I like long epic songs, long epic storylines are also good in my book

Naah... Danielle can handle her liquor. She's been living off ale for several years now, so this won't be a problem. Unless Alexsi has a less forgiving metabolism.  Now that would be bad. Imagine if a drunken Danielle started flirting with Merlitz-Abel. Now that would be awkward. Hooray for awkwardness!

Amber, if you feel like your story is going too long, just remember... the next Harry Potter book is gonna be something like 1,000 pages... now add all the other books together.  

And then take Inuyasha...

And Dragon Ball Z before it...

And Naruto...

All these things are classic examples of dragging a story out painfully (especially Naruto with the frequent entire episode-long flashbacks... god I can't stand when they do that.  That's why I download episodes; I can skip those.)

Until you've reached comic #5000 with no resolution to anything, no one can realistically complain that you're progressing too slowly.  Personally, I think the pacing is just right.  But then, I'm very patient... just look at my world domination plans...
