It seems like becoming Tri-wing either takes thousands of years of work.. or doing something truly horrific, ie -absorb- another creature.

Heh. Usually both, actually. Amber suggested that the standard path to tri-wing status involves consuming lots of souls. Although a few founders did ascend by other means, they're supposedly more of an exception.

We are however talking about Abel here ... he has the power of Cute in his dreams.
Not to mention Fa'Lina might be interfering.
Also, Mab might be interfering.
And Aniz too.

And Jyrras is just an interference waiting to happen.
Even Amber might be plotting some interference in the background (one which she dreads to draw) !!


Heck with all that interference, I'm kinda surprised he hasn't ascended yet by sheer accident !

Indeed.

Just because he is dead, doesn't mean any of his plans might not still be going on.
He was the kind of guy that would make long term plans, I think.
There could be all sorts of fallout from some of those.

Old enemies, old friends (read enemies), and old settles to score !
Not to mention he might have left a bill or two at the bar.

Nah. Cubi who doesn't survive his milleniun, doesn't really have plans. Yeah, he may think he has, but those plans are calculated and accounted already by someone with better planning skills. And as we know, Aniz wasn't the brightest cubi, by far. So I believe even his death gone just as (someone else) planned.
