Quote from: iceick on January 25, 2010, 04:38:46 PMThat doesn't mean people can't be gay for him though. For example I'm strait, but I've had at lease a half-dozen guys hit on me before. :erk
Then you must be very cute, otherwise they would've ignored you.

We gay guys are still men, and like other men, we only tend to look at/go after the really attractive ones.

Take it as high praise.
Either that or my personality (which now has cougars chasing after me :mowdizzy ), but of course I never really saw myself as attractive (even when I had to hop on my bike to get away from all the girls wanting to date me).

You're young.  You're attractive and/or have a nice personality.  So much so that even gay men are attracted to you, even though you're hetero.  And women of all ages are throwing themselves at you.

And this is a problem ... how, exactly?
:mowcookie :mowcookie :mowcookie
Growing up, I've been more of the loner personality type. It's only more reacently that I've been starting to engage in conversations.

As was I.  During puberty, I generally snarled at anyone who disturbed me (well, figuratively, not literally  :) ).  I wanted to be left alone, always.

It wasn't until I was 23 and in grad school that I started trying to be social.  And dating.
Just about the same age as you are now, from what your profile says.

Look, you're in you're 20's.  You are human.  You are male.  Ergo, you have a libido (like it or not).  As a bonus, you have ... opportunities presenting themselves.

So, take it from an old codger:  Go.  For.  It.  Be clear with the other person what you want, and don't want.  Listen and understand what the other person wants, and respect that.  Heck, if it makes you feel better, confess that you used to be more of a loner, that you're awkward, inexperienced at these sorts of things.
As long as you respect who you're with, communicate clearly --- and play safe --- then there's no problem with havin' some fun.   :mowtongue  :mowtongue

As they say, practice makes perfect.

Next to the "I'm bisexual for fem! and mas!Abel" :P

Netrogo

We should just round it off to "I'm currently-possessed-by-the-desire-to-engage-in-sexual-activities for Abel" and let it be.

and yet another female abel pic.
Being gay for abel goes back at least to his comic's opening (someone go find an earlier discussion). Also the awesome gay for Abel image and Equidna is in there
Also I highly approve of the truth in the above message. If you're not gay for Abel it's because you are divinely bisexual for Abel.

In order to get some more statistically significant results from this poll, I would like to request a change to:

- Yes
- Fabulous!
- Yes, pass me the whip cream
- Yes, pass me the chocolate chip cookies
- No, I'm a girl

For him? Why, does he need a surrogate or "pinch hitter"?

I thought being Gay for Abel was the norm around here.
Although, that's assuming there's a norm to begin with.

I'm going back to my other forums where there is a norm. Sort of.

Wow, after reading that Nice topic... I realized that our current forum doesn't appear to have as much "fun" to it... nor is it quite as active, I think.
Its also more "on topic"... usually.

Alondro

Absolutely not!  Abel isn't a lion.

*looks at Alondro with huge shimmering anime eyes and neko smile*  Mrowr!

*Alondro feels tremendous fear and flees*  OMGWTF FURRIES!!!   D:
Three's a crowd:  One lordly leonine of the Leyjon, one cruel and cunning cubi goddess, and one utterly doomed human stuck between them.

Why be gay for a fictional character? What kind of BS is that? I rather be gay for someone who has a pulce!

Why be gay for a fictional character?

Because it is a fictional character. Sometimes real life doesn't live up to all the hype, and dreams and fantasies are much to be preferred.

I wasn't judging anyone, I was simply stating that I'm more attracted to cartoony looking characters.
