My desktop computer has recently started making a fairly quiet high-pitched noise, like an old CRT TV, and it is driving me crazy.
I've never been to a real concert but I plan to have that fixed within a month!
My favorite style of food is Tex-Mex.
I get sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms on my pizza.
Within about two to three weeks I may be forced to start destroying history.

I was born in the USA.

Fluently I know one language.  However I know bits and pieces of two or three others, but not enough to speak them.

Yes I have, wish I came back with more scotch though.

Yes, had a transmission dropped on my thumb.  Doctor said it made a clean break which was interesting.

Star Trek.  There really haven't been all that many movies that actually looked (IMO) good enough to go see in the theaters.

Actually, it's often hard for people to get to know me, and for me to get to know others as well. Does that ever happen to you? Otherwise, can you tell me how you do it?

I've been experimenting with keeping file history on my computer, and enough has now accumulated that I'll soon run out of space if I don't start destroying old versions or pushing the history off to other storage. But it sounds a lot less exciting that way.

CRT is a Cathode Ray Tube, as in the old, big TVs/monitors instead of LCD/plasma/etc displays.

FW stands for Forest Wolf, the main character of that comic. There was supposed to be a link, http://fw-adventures.com, if you haven't seen that comic yet and are interested. It's quite amusing and well drawn, I think.

I don't think that I know you well at all, though you certainly seem like a nice person.

Yes, it can be rather hard for me to get to know other people, and I wouldn't say that any person other than myself really, truly knows me well. I have found, though, that sharing a meal with someone (not in a group setting) is usually the best place for me to talk with and get to know that person better.

Ok a friend of mine got to go Duck hunting Monday. They got in a boat early in the morning and went out to an island in a big nearby lake. So they sat there for a while very cold when these two fisherman in a boat came nearby the island. They are there just fishing talking when a bunch of Ducks flew past the island. My friend and the others jump up and unload a few 12 gauge shells as they hear a motor boat going very fast and two men cursing to high heaven.

that may be true gabi but it never seemed to worry grouch marks. now if only i could figure out why they call theses things dry anyway here's what your invisible friend said

I use FreeBSD, Solaris 10, OpenSolaris, and Linux regularly (on different machines). Linux (and OpenSolaris, to a lesser extent) drive me crazy, but I have to use them some for reasons of practicality.

Interesting about the CRTs; I actually don't recall ever hearing "Cathode Ray Tube" outside of describing how they work. Everyone here just says "CRT".

The Arena seems to be an interesting, fun place. This game is here, of course.

The last things that made me feel:
- bored: Running out of interesting reading material to procrastinate with, I suppose.

I listen to music by all means. It may be around, resounding in the
air, or it may be in my mind. It may come from a radio, a computer,
some other audio device, a movie or TV series, or even a video game.
Or from someone's voice, even my own. Or from birds outside. There are
probably more sources too. There's always some kind of music around.

Birdsong right now, and there has been a lot of "Dreams dreams" in its
different versions this week. And some Roxette and Green Day on a
friend's car on Thursday.

Not lately, but I do remember some awful stuff I hope I don't have to
