To be fair, a regular cockpit shouldn't be able to do all of the things we see mobile suits do. That, and the story made up for the corniness, so the Mobile Trace System was okay. But, yeah, the control system seemed a bit weird. Sorry, off topic... um... okay, any other mecha shows you've watched?

Sorry, my internet went bonkers for a bit. I was actually writing my reply to you when it went down.

My employers may say I have a career with them, but there's no way I can call that a career.
I would like to be in the video game industry, making video games.
7/11 isn't bad at all. Sometimes some... interesting people come in late at night. Also, it depends on the location. I've seen good 7/11's and some really bad ones.
When I wear shorts, I'm a shorts person.
I've played several instruments. Now whether or not I had lessons and were good at half of them is another story. The one I am good at though is the trumpet.

In Wing, though, the inclusion of the Zero System took care of that. I don't know if this has been made into an anime, but Linebarrels of Iron is really neat.
