I think it has to do with trying to actually convince Balade (or more likely Val I would guess) to play said game.  There is a bad game threshold that cannot be exceeded beyond the count of one before Balade, Val, and the rest of Texas explode in a firey mess of chilli.

Which really would be wasteful of good chilli.  :mowcookie
