For some reason, the pink actually detracts from the cuteness. :/
You think a different color would make a differince?

Kenji

Pink is kinda overused, I guess. Hmm... make it something pastel, maybe?

Maybe green with a blue background?

Or perhaps white with the current background?

Kenji

Go with the white, of those two. Blue and green are kinda... lacking when just those two colors

Shadrok

#395

Also decided to see how the blue back ground looked with the white.

Much as I hate to agree with Aridas ;-] I prefer the blue one also.

Of course, having said that, I should clarify that the green one is cuter, somehow. Go figure.

Well then, that settles it; llearch hates cute things. :(

You know I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner but I just put a poll up for this.
Also I thought why just look at green and blue, why not pink and purple as well.

The poll will be up for 10 days, so as to give enough time for people to decide which color they like best. The color with the most votes will then be posted on my FA account.

The cute puppy definatly looks better not pink.
As for background blue and green match the eyes nicely, but purple makes him standout better. The red background doesn't seem to 'go' at all with the picture. For maximum cuteness blue/purple.

Well it looks like Blue has won with a 50% vote.

So Blue will be posted on my FA account.

*throws another page to Turnsky* Here have another mint.

Normally I don't ink my sketches in ink, usually just CG them.

Recently I've been experimenting with using actual ink in an attempt to speed up coloring a pic.

Yesterday at work I drew these two sketches and inked them during lunch. I like how the first one turned out, as for the second...
:meh Also did both of them in about 30 min.

Decided also to take 40 min and color the first one.

That final sketch - the coloured version, I mean - has come up extremely well.

Although that may merely be the shrinking to thumbnail that makes it look so good, there.

I see what you mean about the second sketch, though - the face is a bit lopsided, over and above what would be caused by the mouth being twisted into that pose, I mean. :-/

Still, you're doing well.

I must agree about the coloured version - it's come out looking very professional.
If you'd been able to do that on paper at AC, I'd have jumped on you for a badge commission without hesitating.

Thanks, I think I was starting to look at my watch when I started the second one.

:disbelief :. :grin

Thanks I think for future inks though I think I'll use better paper, even though I did use art paper for it, its a low grade.

you can see the difference in quality in this pic.
