in Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, there was this cute little creature called a fox squirrel (or was it a squirrel fox? I can't remember). it was about the size of a small squirrel, with a fox-like body and a long-ish bushy tail, and it was sooooo cute and cuddley! and it was also kinda energetic at time, without being annoying, and it seemed fairly smart, and it was loyal and I think something like that would make a perfect real-world pet. what do you think?
