The closest answer I can give is something I got from one of my psych classes: most people do not seek disconfirming evidence.

Well, no. I hardly dream most of the time and I tend to glaze past posts with many errors.

By slacking off, do you mean work at a snail's pace or not work at all? It'd depend on that. Whether or not you get noticed for this depends largely if you have a believable excuse.

Snails pace for the most part with bits of not working at all.  Since I'm a web developer my web traffic is expected to be high so any browsing I do goes mostly unnoticed as long as it isn't excessive.

Pretty? I feel all nice and warm right now, but pretty's another thing.
