I just got bored with the whole thing, and lost when they added another six or seven hundred Pokémon.  I'm now an unashamed ex-pokémaniac.

I like your way of putting it, that's basically what happened to me. The games are a good time-waster, and I still love the first few movies, but other than that, I've gotten over it.

Well, while we're on the topic, I was in the Pokemon League. Every Saturday morning we would (drive out across the bridge to the next city to get to) go Toys R' Us, where we would play cards and have battles and such.

Pokémon was actually cool then, (Fox Kids was still on the airfirst season Digimon! ) and yet to this day, when I mention it, it is is hushed tones. However, I still get a lark out of the fact that my glasses in grade seven were N64.
