Counting the loot

I got:

A day by day calendar
A welcome sign with turtles on it
A YMCA membership (yay healthy!)
And money. Glorious glorious money.

I got the following:

* Time with my folks
* Good food
* Some quiet time
* a chance to listen to HHGTTG radio series again on the drive down and back

That's what really matters.  Material possessions will pass, but so will people, and it's important to spend the time we have with them while they're still with us.

I also got a scanner, with which I can finally scan in some of the tchotchkes that I got from my trip to Poland a couple years back.

Money $30 bucks (I always get that amount no matter what)
And a giant spice of bent anger...
