CV: Portrait of Ruin

Well, just curious about all those CV players here. For anyone planning to get CV: Portrait of Ruin, I was just wanting to know if you knew that if you pre-order your game in the US (at least), you get a 48-page art book with illustrations from the entire series, 20th anniversary soundtrack, extendable stylus with a castlevania logo on it, a DS game case, and a timeline post with key event points in the game history.

I must say, I am rather surprised at the pre-order bonus. Honestly, how often does a bundle like that happen outside Japan? Usually, at least in the US, we get shafted with some lame item like a generic sports radio keychain or a tshirt.

Do we know if this is severely limited edition, or if *everyone* who preorders gets one?  Last time we preordered a game with a prize, they only had 10 of the packs, but assured everyone they would get the incentive.  I was never so mad in all my life.

EB had a very nice pre-order spiel on their website when I pre-ordered. I had pre-ordered another game, an MMO, from them before and they're very prompt with the bonus content. There's more than you'd think. Wind Waker's music CD has a nice sword and shield replica that comes with it, as well.

Dunno if it's first come, first serve with the bundle. I had just seen it in Nintendo Power, got a new one today in the mail. It said you get one at Gamestop, EB, and GameCrazy.

News announcements say that any pre-ordered game from Gamestop, Gamecrazy, or EBgames. None of the sites have the pre-order indicator when placing an order, though. They used to...

Talked to the guys at my EB- they say that if you call them on the Friday before (the 1st, in this case) they most likely have the stuff in, and you can most likely get your name put on a set to be held for you specifically.

Well at least you can play with that till it gets tired. But the game will keep going as long as you're plugged into the wall. Just sacrifice some sleep. No one needs that stuff anyways.

That special stylus from the gift set sucks ass. Once extended it turns all flimsy and awkward. The cd is okay, but uses the original midi sounds from all the games, so some may not like the bloop/blip sounds.
