Why does this happen? The 'replace' frame mode doesn't seem to be working. Is my GIMP broken?

I checked it in my own gif editor and it's using the wrong method for transparency, leaving the contents of the previous frame up. Another problem is that the white parts are being counted as part of the transparency as well... Whatever you did, it wasn't meant for whatever you wanted to do. Or something. It's tough trying to explain something in general terms when I don't know the real ones.

It looks to me as if you've set the frames as combine, not replace. Other than that, I can't say, since that tends to change the way it saves the image, and masks any other issues.

I can't -see- any white that is being counted as transparency, but, as I said, the combining rather than replacing, whilst generating a smaller file, doesn't tend to work out well with transparent images, and causes other problems.

They have stepped back quite a lot, but they're still providing assistance to robotics.

I did this at work (and nobody noticed). I didn't do anything different, I guess it must be my GIMP at home that has a problem after all. I'll try reinstalling it when I have the time.
