For some reason, this page reminds me of that one scene from Red Dwarf:

"M y  h e a v e n s !  W h a t  o n  e a r t h  w a s  t h a t ?"
"Ithinkitcamefromoutsidetheship! Areyouokay? Isthereanywaywecangetadamagereport? What'sgoingon?"
"W h y  a r e  y o u  s p e a k i n g  s o  q u i c k l y , s i r ?"
"I'mnotspeakingquickly. I'mspeakingperfectlynormally. It'syou,you'respeakingtooslowly. It'sliketryingtohaveaconversationwithPaulRobsonondope."

Obviously just in the detail an invisible, intangible barrier separating two sides of an area and both sides having time differences.

Lying Foo

Is Nova so scared?  After all, he knows Jin won't hurt him... doesn't he?

Actually, in general, light and dark powers don't seem to take the "war" that seriously.  I think of the light and dark powers taunting one another at the start of New Game Plus - the light powers just ignore the dark powers, even though they could kill them without blinking in the day.
