Spellbook or weapon, I don't know.

He can use the book as a distraction and then stab him while he's distracted.

You do not know how to do that.

Dark Pegasus kills you.

I don't know about using the fire on him as such, but burning his possessions or setting the place alight generally does distract villains.  Or good guys, come to that.

You can't pick that up.

Use fire on what?

use fire on Dark Pegasus
You're not carrying the fire.

Rinse, repeat...

Text adventure games frustrate me. My brain does not work the same way as the people who made it when it comes to sentence structure. It can take me HOURS to figure out how to phrase the commands to get the thing to do what I KNOW it's supposed to do. This happened to me in the early King's Quest, Quest for Glory, and Space Quest games too, since I had to type in instructions in all of those as well.

llearch n'n'daCorna

Heh. I wasn't sure where to take it - after all, there's always the possibility of a side-quest...

And the immediate thought I had on looking at the comic was that Dan was going to grab the book and bash DP over the back of the head with it....

I was totally rooting for the voulge.  It seems to be a theme in this comic.  I'm pretty sure that Nutmeg was repeatedly stabbed with a voulge and Mab totally ninja looted that one from the twink territories.

As for text based games, I loved them.  Interactive books.  :eager

I used to play muds/mushes/moos and such due to games like Kings Quest.  So many wasted days from that.

Bell + book + candle = banishment spell

although i dont see a bell and im not sure if a banishment would work on furrae demons- but it would really explain how DP dissapeared between the first and second encounter, we know he was dead between the second and third but its not a trick you can do all the time

A buh?  Based on what?  Am I missing something here?

...
put bell in book
You don't have one of those!

get book
You get the book

put bell in book
You put the bell in the book. It turns into a Belldandy!

put candle in belldandy
Ooo, you saucy fellow! Belldandy dances, Dark Pegasus watches, and then both of them turn into mist and vanish.

Wouldn't it suck if whatever Dan is planning back-fired and gave Pegasus the oppurtunity he needed to kill Anna?

Aurawyn

Your all forgetting the Curtain.. rip it down and throw it over DP's head!

Jairus

Hey, DP's robe was a gift! Just like Dan's.

Okay, book or glaive? It won't be the candles, because they're not lit, and I'm betting that if it's a magic book it's not gonna help Dan much since he doesn't like to use magic. How's the glaive gonna help against someone like DP?

I think you guys are missing a train of thought "ALL ABOARD!" DP's cloak was a gift and so was Dan's dress robe, reminding him that it supposedly has magical protections on it. I think we're about to find out if it really doesprotect him from magic.

Actually, that was what originally I thought he was thinking of, though the focus on the weapon, book and candle made me reconsider.

He needs to rip up the book. Nothing distracts evi like their Evil-Spell-Cook-Book destroyed.

I say, he's going to take the Glaive, and use it to stab the book!  Why?  Because that was the first thing that I thought when I saw the second panel and all the stuff in it!  And it makes perfect sense, stab the book, disrupting whatever ritual DP was attempting, which gets his attention to Dan, and gives Hanna the chance to rip him a new one!  Go Dan Go!

lihua

Or perhaps it's Dark's diary, haha. ;)

So very many opportunities... I can hardly wait until Wednesday.  ...unless the whole next comic is him fretting about which exact opportunity to take.  But I don't think so.  ^^;

Also, I really like Dan's expression there in the third panel.  It's so... cautiously rising enthusiasm.  Or that moment right before maniacal laughter.
