That was unexpected, but yeah not the beast plan ever, Dracula should have attacked him as the bat, it would be more traumatic for Simon to fight his companion, but Dracula took advantage and threw it at the window.

Also I really liked Death new sprites, I wished he had more screen time.

Thye limitations of the form. In doing an adaptation of an existing story, you have to follow the basic plotbeats of the original. Death has so little screen time in the original game, giving him a larger part would have been wrong.
