I don't think Alec is dead.

Normally when characters die on screen, they leave a reverse silhouette.  This has been consistent for years.

While the effect is similar for Alec, you notice that you can see the details of his shield and his face.

I think this is a fake-out, at least for now.

Is Alec dead? I don't think so, I mean it was just one electric spell, he is not that week.

But no damage was showed so maybe it was some different kind of spell, who knows... Darkmoon works in mysterious ways.

Also on a side note.... Samus Mummy is a girl? WTF??? O_O
