I take it Rashanna must have quite a reputation if Gadel fears if she fails her. After all, she might not know exactly what happened to her friend. But she does think her life and magic are on the line. Makes me wonder what really happened to her husband mentioned in the cast pages and do others fear her?

Rashanna strikes me as somebody that has absolutely no scruples or morals and will do whatever it takes to get more power and climb to the top.  I wouldn't be surprised if she had orchestrated the whole Wynnie thing just so that she was the only one that Gadel has to turn to.  I think Rashanna probably killed her husband and took care of anything that would possibly point back to her.
