I agree with Doodle's. Did her friend's supposed death and realisation of the people around her aren't slaves shake her up that badly?

Though Gadel has always seemed to keep compony with Wynnifred and no one else. Maybe its more of being alone in unfamiliar territory that's got her so depressed.
