American Tech?

This kind of falls under the question and somewhat doesn't.

But is their a particular reason why American tech is just a little more resilient to the magic these people use and does that apply to weapons or other things other then the beacon as well?

Its just something that always bugged me when they talk about the beacon on the island.

That's actually a good question.  The answer was answered (well, hinted at) at the very beginning of Marilyn's story in Issue 9  (Look around the end of August)
