09/26/10 [9-15] - Doubt in a Loved One

It certainly looks like a hopeless situation if you get caught by this island.

Though Joshua could be biding his time to make an escape or trying to earn favor with Lord Cedric to keep the child. We've already seen one family still together, even though it was just a daughter and her father. The Lord Cedric is such a crusty follower of their traditions, I can't really see him caring for what others think.

He also was thinking on breeding Ruby because he considered her fur exotic and would sell at a high price. So it's probably a matter of greed and sidious pride in owning and being able to sell slaves with such a fur color for him.
