Might as well start this. If you want me to change it to match Friday's date, I can do so.

Seriously, how hard is it to say "You're an android now?" Either than that... well, the thread header kind of sums up my feelings regarding Dorcan's reaction. And those double panels on his chest remind me of... crud. I can't remember the name of the anime. I wanna say "Guyver," but I'm not sure. Anyway, the panels opening on his chest reminds me of that. Yeah, deep, I know. And... yeah, he seems to have become a lot more buff since he died. For some reason, I'm vaguely reminded of this little adventure. Except a lot more PG. I can imagine Daryil saying something like "You know, if he's going to be immortal, you might as well make him buff!"

Oh, and glad that you're feeling better, Bro.

If you've been in SAIA for 450 years and have no clue what "android" means because Beings were still using wooden carts to travel when you went in, it can be a bit tricky...

As for the chest, it was supposed to be a single panel, but Ren wanted two.  IIRC it was a reference to some anime, but since there's hundreds of those and I only know the name of 3-4 of them, I can't help you there.
Ironically, although it doesn't match the original text, it does almost match the early concept art for Dorcan as drawn by Cameron.

I was wondering whether anyone would pick that up as a glitch in the artwork.  I never did work out what I'd say if that happened.

Bizarrely, Gabriel's Thoughts posted almost exactly the same joke after the original story was published.  He didn't illustrate it though.

Yep, I wanted his chest to open up that way to resemble the "Guyver". :> ..Except some "Mega Smasher" jokes in the future.. >:]

wow, what do they have 3 guitars in a lab for?
When they are not reviving the dead in that lab, they are recording music there. :B

..But actually, I'll leave it to Tape to answer. :3

Pretty much.  I'm still dithering as to whether it's an actual working studio, or just where they store things and repair them.

**EDIT**
I've updated Niall's profile slightly.

or they could be doing the Dr. Steel thing and trying to take over the world with an all robot rock band.... or they would if the robots wouldn't keep missing notes and freak out when trying to do a flare

Ask Ren about that.  Personally, I think they look like they're going to fall down or something.

You know, I thought the exact same Animé when I saw that panel, the exact same scene. It's funnier because I barely make any effort to watch anything Animé (outside of Studio Ghibli) and certainly not something obscure like that, but I just happened to watch the pilot of that cartoon in a friends house back when I went to school long before I even knew what Animé was. (He lived near a specialty video rental store you see).

Anyway, nice strip Tape. It's nice not having another character going through a panic trip through this thing. Joshua was the king of panic and we don't need another contender. ;)

That's not to say that Dorcan is panic-free, but yes, he's a lot more collected about it than Joshua, who had an almost permanent D-face.

Now I'm confused.  The primary female character is Keaton and she doesn't panic that much.  Actually, most of the female characters in this are calculating and difficult to faze...

Lollipop is the little stick with the knob on the top that brings total satisfaction.
I will face my lollipop. I will let it pass into me and through me.
