Kingdom Hearts III

Good news: Disney finally gave Square Enix the rights to make Kingdom Hearts III. HOORAY! 
Bad news: Even though Sony and Square Enix had such a large argument, it's still only going to be a PS3 exclusive.

This pretty much sells me, I have to get a PS3 now. There were a few games I looked at on the PS3 only that I thought were cool, but this is pretty much the selling point for me. I am a huge Kingdom Hearts fan. I've bought every KH game that has come out to date.

Anyways, little has been revealed about the plot, and it still remains a large mystery, but the main purpose of this post was to announce that it's finally coming out.

I hope they integrate the Disney cast more into the story than the past few games like in part 1. I was playing part 2 again and only the Beauty and the Beast Story that didnt feel like some avoidable subquest.

We'll see how long it stays Sony exclusive. They said FFXIII would be Sony exclusive, but we saw how that deal fell through >.>

It won't be on Wii, so PS3 is cool with me.

one thing i do know about KHIII- Sora is NOT the main character, in the developers own words 'were giving him a rest for a bit' they made it sound like a vacation, which hints at a KH IV

with enough writing this could go on for a while, but like kenji i too would like more focus on the square universes rather then revisiting the same Disney worlds.... or at least make the Disney worlds more expansive then five guys and half a village

Well at this point KH has enough material on it's own that it could probably support it's own worlds. I mean Hollow Bastion and Twilight Town came out of nowhere and turned out just fine (albeit through the help of Final Fantasy characters). However if Sora is not the main character, they may have to work harder. I've seen trailers where they show a few characters, and somebody is using Riku's 13 Swords Technique to defend himself against bullets. I still think they were doing perfectly fine, but I'm willing to accept change. My thought was, for the longest time, that KH 3 should have a main partty of Sora, Riku, and Kairi. While Donald and Goofy are helpful, I'm not exactly fond of them.

Also, based on the last game Mickey is the lord of darkness.

I think that trailer with the guy blocking bullets with his swords is for Final Fantasy XIII Versus, which is being made by the same group that made Kingdom Hearts. And, last I checked, is also a PS3 exclusive, but I'm not sure at this point.

Well, I'm excited, even though it will take a while. But we've got 358/2 Days and Birth By Sleep to tide us over until then.

True, both are quite fun games and don't deviate away from the plot to the point where it makes me dislike them. Back story is always nice.  I probably wouldn't have understood half of the things I had in KH2 if I hadn't played Chain of Memories.

Well, that counts me out. I always liked the frenzied feel of KH's combat mixed in with RPG elements, and battling Sephiroth at ridiculously low levels was always enjoyable when the rest of the game got old.

Because games that strayed from the main character, like Metal Gear Solid and Phoenix Wright, got such a warm reception.

Nope. But on the other hand, that's the only version of CoM I've played. The Kingdom Hearts wiki filled me in on the stuff I missed before I played KH2.

what confused me is the straps that would go from one pantleg to the other in a way that seems like it should really impede movement

so many of the clothes looked both awesome and physics defying, however i actually owned a pair of those big honkin shoes that sora always wore, except in brown..... shutup, they were comfy and cheap
